Cosmo Racing Short Shifter The BEST $40 you will ever Spend! I saw the Cosmo Short shifter kit for $39.95. How good could it be and how well would it work? I am here to tell you that I have NEVER enjoyed shifting that car until last weekend! The install was a easy as they claimed and from the time I jacked the car up, placed the stands, cleaned the area, removed the "E" clip and bolted the extension on and dropped the car it was "Less than 1 Hour Total" Before the lever hit the console for reverse and was all over the place. Now it shifts a lot like the Mini Cooper "S" we have and I never knew there was a spring gate for the 1st & Second Plane For the first time ever, I KNOW where all of the gears are and even my wife laughs when she sees me shifting because now it looks funny to see ..

great quality coils for a great price they even have cosmo racing laser etched on them where the stock ones would say diamond. Ok with my stock coils running 20psi and 11.2 afr It would stutter and misfire if I didn't gap my plugs to .028 and with these coil packs I have my plugs gapped to .040 with no misfires and I made more power through the whole power band. Cosmo Racing did do a great job in designing this shifter. The shifter quality is what I expected. The shifter knob size is spot on. The height of the shifter and length of the throws are perfect. The kit also includes the solid shifter bushings as well. Those "bushings" are milled aluminum and fit perfectly with no slop while installed. I just bought and installed my cosmo racing shifter. I have to say, what a difference. I bought the shift knob from them as well. Compared to the stock shifter its 2 inchs or so shorter and has a shorter throw( obviously). What i like is that i found the stock shifter to have a cheap feel to it, like the stock shifter is the dollar store shifter in the automotive world. ..

I installed the same cosmo short shift kit in my 08 a couple of weeks ago, fits perfect. The throws are definitely shorter.
